Last month marked a big date for us, and for Yvette. On October 27th we celebrated Yvette’s birthday. The very first Lovable Doll was pulled from the mold on October 27th 2008 and has enjoyed a year of actively modeling her many looks.

To celebrate such an auspicious occassion, and also as an early celebration of Lovable Dolls’ original website launch on November 14th, Yvette had a party with Monica, Monique and Ally. Of course there was cake, balloons and lots of presents. Also to mark our first anniversary we have begun development on a completely revamped website. We’re excited to see where 2010 takes us!

Looking back, 2009 has certainly been a busy year. We’ve delivered many beautiful dolls, begun manufacture of our own skeleton systems, participated in a street fair, a trade show and an art exhibit, made an affiliate partnership with DollStory of France, created new heads for our female dolls as well as lots of accessory items, and we’ve created the much-awaited male doll. We’ll be posting pictures of Adam in his own blog soon.
We spent our anniversary exhibiting dolls in a very unusual and fun venue. We joined the Dirty Show in LA at the very last minute. The Dirty Show is an erotic art exhibit and sale that was hosted at the seedy Center City Motel in downtown Los Angeles. One wing of the motel was dedicated to the art which was exhibited in the shabby rooms. It was a fun opportunity to show the dolls in an unusual way for us and to explore the opportunities to present them as art – Art you can Love! We hope to participate in the big Detroit Dirty Show which was the originator of the event.

We want to thank all of you who have supported us through this year and helped our business grow by leaps and bounds. We hope to see many of you in Las Vegas at the AVN in January.
